This is a video my teacher showed the class senior year that I still find very interesting.

They remake this video every year so make sure to glimpse at that as well.

This video is along the same lines as the one that the last group posted. It is showing us exactly how fast the growth and expansion of the world is increasing and gives us a scale of what is to come. I found it interesting that the video had no dialogue but instead relied on text and the use of colors to embolden their points. This stood out and I think in conjunction with the lack of dialogue, helped to empower the presentation. The only question I have is this; will there be a point where our population dynamics and growth cannot sustain our informational growth?

I found the content of this video very interesting and informative. The video is obviously very timely seeing as all this information is current It is hard to believe that the world is change so rapidly and drastically. It is fascinating to me that we are educating kids for jobs that do not currently exist. I was surprised by how many married couples met online. It is amazing that the amount of technical information is doubling every 2 years. The progress society is making astounds me. I like that the video allows the facts speak for themselves and keeps the pictures and colors basic rather than distracting from the information with unnecessary images.

I think this video does an excellent job as explaining just how much the world is changing and evolving at such a fast pace every year. It is sort of bizarre to think about what we are learning in our classes today probably wont be as relevant in two years. Also the top ten most in need jobs right now were not the same at all in 2004. I think that really shows just how much our needs and experiences are changing. Also, how China will eventually have more English speakers than the United States shows just how much globally we have become in sync with each other, and I believe the internet has a lot to do with that because it is so much easier to communicate to people across the world, globalization is truly expanding

That was a nice video. The music added much to the video and kept me engaged. I believe the text did a better job conveying the massiveness of the figures than a narrator could have. However I don't think the figures themselves were that shocking. It makes sense that as a world we are advancing exponentially. The more people in the world and the more access to information will continue to drive this advancement to an extraordinary pace.

This video gave so much information about development of contemporary society, also those listed numbers which made me surprised. The shocking numbers just popped up in the screen which kept showing us how fast this world is changing and how amazing human beings’ creativity is. This video showed the facts are closely related to us, you may find you are speaking English, using Google search engine several times a day, texting messages every day, or looking for a job as well. This video showed how this world grows and how these changes are impacting our lives. Although there was no dialogue, simply and straightforward animation and the different colors made this video “speaking”.

I thought that this video was very cool and informative. not only did it keep my attention but it led me to ask questions about my own future in this world. When it said that India had more honors students than the US has students, I was shocked and even had to watch it again to make sure i read it right. I thought the music also made you focus and added to the importance of the facts that were being put down.

It's a timely and interesting video with plenty of information. While watching, I was shocked several times like "India have honors kids than american has kids" and "we are preparing sudents for jobs that dont yet exist". That lead me to think a lot.Sometimes we may complain some courses useless. Probably it may be used in 20 years. Also, I think further about the india honor kids. Based on the different population and social age structure, it's hard to further improve too much. Meanwhile, in some common sense, honor students may be easily related with success. Is it the truth? Anyway, it's really awesome video ,which listed some facts. But maybe it also bring us some illusional dedution.

The video mainly provides us with the information that we might overlook in graphic detail. Accurate numbers speak louder than words. It’s a common knowledge that there are numerous people in China learning and practicing to speak English. But the “numerous” is so general that it makes the information losing its vivid and concrete features, like the taste of a tap water without stirring some imagination in your mind. However, if you are told that China will be the “Number One” English speaking country in the world, you will definitely be amazed. Number One not only shows the accurate image of the largest English speaking country, but also expresses something that is unusual. Chinese speaks Mandarin but conversely become the largest English Speaking country. It is beyond imagination. Maybe it is another way demonstrating the power owning the largest population. It is human nature that we tend to hook on the abnormal things. I always find the abstract art unique and interesting for it shows us the infinite possibilities of approaching to art. Human is indeed a unique and creative being. Anyway, the success of the video relies on two characters. One is that it is specific and vivid. The other is that it informs us something unexpected.

This video explains and compares that facts before, now and makes predictions for the future. Many of the facts in the video are about our daily life and most people have touch with. But yet many of us did not notice that. This video is really informative and interesting and I like that.

I saw this video few months ago and it left me a deep impression. Firstly, I get a lot of information in this video. Most information in this video is just against of our early impression. For example, At the begining of the video, it says that China will become the largest English speaking country in few years. I feel really strange because the offical language in China is Mandarin but how can China become the largest English speaking country. Probably because the more and more trade or communication with western country require more Chinese to learn it. Secondly, I am shocked by the changing rate. New things is created and applied to daily life more and more frequent. It is a warn that we must keep active and energetic to catch up the rapid developed society. What's more, the music in this video is amazing. It has a strong sense of rhythem to help the video attracts my attention but it is not that noisy that makes me anxious.

I really liked the facts and information that this video had. It's crazy to think that technology is evolving so fast and that half of what I learned this year will be obsolete by my 3rd year. I now understand why my engineering classes stress learning problem solving. the technical aspects of things I learn may not be relevant but the process of solving problems will be. Some of the facts that really stood out to me were the one about how India has more honors students than the US has students and the fact about how China will soon become the number one english speaking country in the world. The video used interesting visuals to keep the attention of the viewer and the music is generally fitting with the video, but I personally found the music to get a little repetitive and annoying. Other than that I thought the video was a good compilation of facts about the world and how it's changing.

This video was so interesting I don't think I knew any of that information. It kept me very interested the whole time because of not only the information but the lay out of the video. It was really interesting to me how china will soon be the number one english speaking country in the world. And who india has more honors students than we have people. Also the part about what students are learning now in technology classes will be outdated by their third year of school. This video shows how our world is growing so fast. How do they get all this information. I also was confused in the video when it says we are preparing kids for jobs that don't yet exist. Also how we are using technology that doesn't exist. It confused me but it was a really good video I really enjoyed it.

This video grabbed my attention from the start with information that I never would've imagined was true. I thought the statistic regarding China being the highest english speaking country was interesting, but it was a vague statement. It doesn't specify if they will have the highest percentage of english speaking people or the highest number amount. Also the statistic mentioning the IQ of people in India is misleading. It is simply saying that India has over four times as many people as America, and not comparing intelligence levels at all. I know that technology is evolving fast, but the rate shown in the video astounded me. It is weird to think that what I learn in school now might not be relevent in a few years. I don't know how people can use technology that doesn't exist yet so that statement doesn't make much sense to me. The facts in this video are astounding, but in my opinion some of them are misleading and vague.

This video was full of facts and figures that I was unaware of before watching. The music and imagery were useful in helping the viewer concentrate on the text and information being shown. The facts shocked me and made me a tad apprehensive and frustrated. It is exciting to learn how fast the world is evolving and technology is improving, however, I am frustrated to learn that the top ten jobs did not even exist in 2004 and the things I am learning in school now may not be relevant to my future job. This video made me question if I am wasting my time and money in school. It also made me wonder if America is falling behind as a powerful and intellectual nation in the global scheme of things.

Amazing information come one after another. when accompany with the music, this video is quite striking. this video focuses on various topics which mostly relate to population, internet and technology and it tries to reminder us how fast is the world changing.

It's interesting how this video takes cut and dry statistics and tries to make them fascinating. Most of this info is dated, but nevertheless somewhat interesting. I wonder why someone took so much time to put this together.

This information is interesting to find out but it really doesn't have a lot to do with what happens to each person in everyday life. It is all just fact to consider being thrown at you. Does this really have an effect on anyone? Would anyone want to watch this if it was not assigned? I don't know.
